Sam Taylor is a 23 year old graduate of the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. He was awarded the Fretwell-Downing prize for best MSc Project performance and the Inspec Solutions Ltd prize for Best Overall Performance in the department by the University of Sheffield for his MSc in Advanced Software Engineering, and achieved a 1st class honours degree in Computer Studies from Sheffield Hallam. Whenever the opportunity was available, Sam has steered his University education towards Mobile Application Development, this has included the depth development of multiple Mobile Applications and the publication of his MSc Dissertation product "Classic Warlord", with experience coding natively for Android and iOS, as well as cross platform. Sam has also been given the opportunity to work for epiGenesys, providing quality web development for real clients in a contemporary professional setting. Sam has experience in a vast range of disciplines such as Java, Objective C, Ruby on Rails, Visual Basic, PHP, SQL, JQuery, and Lua. Check out the portfolio for more details on specific projects.
Sam currently lives in a permanent residence in Sheffield, he has a car and a full, clean driving license - though he prefers to cycle when he can. His hobbies and interests include playing music on the piano and guitar, learning German and Japanese languages and computer gaming. He also enjoys getting stuck into ambitious software development projects.
